5 Cosy Autumn Chamomile Tea Recipes to Try This Season

Autumn has arrived, and we’re taking it as the perfect excuse to get a little more creative with our cuppa.

Chamomile is wonderfully mellow on its own, but add a few warming autumnal flavours and you’ve got a cosy brew that feels like a hug in a mug.

Here are a few easy ideas to try with your favourite chamomile teabag.

1. Apple & Cinnamon Chamomile 🍎

Pop a chamomile teabag into your mug with a cinnamon stick and a few thin slices of fresh apple. Pour over freshly boiled water and leave to steep for 4–5 minutes.

Finish with a drizzle of dark maple syrup for a little caramelised sweetness.

Cosy level: apple pie in a mug.

2. Pear, Thyme & Chamomile 🍐

Add a few slices of ripe pear and a small sprig of thyme to your mug, then pop in your chamomile teabag and pour over hot water.

Let it steep, give everything a gentle muddle and enjoy a subtly sweet, herby brew that's a little bit different.

3. Orange, Ginger & Chamomile 🍊

Feeling like something with a little more zing? Add a couple of slices of fresh ginger and a strip of orange peel to your chamomile tea.

Steep for 4–5 minutes, then add a little honey or maple syrup to taste.

The result is bright, warming and just the ticket for a chilly afternoon.

4. Maple & Cinnamon Chamomile Latte 🍁

Brew your chamomile teabag in a little less water than usual to make a stronger infusion. Stir in a teaspoon of maple syrup, top with warm, frothy oat milk and finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

It’s creamy, comforting and proof that chamomile can absolutely have its latte moment.

5. Spiced Vanilla Chamomile 🍯

For the simplest autumnal upgrade, steep your chamomile teabag with a cinnamon stick and a splash of vanilla extract. Sweeten with honey and settle in.

Sometimes, keeping things simple really is the brew-tiful answer.

Put the Kettle On…

Whether you’re adding a pinch of spice, a slice of fruit or simply swapping your usual sweetener for maple syrup, there are plenty of ways to give your chamomile a little autumn makeover.
